Who I am

I am Deviprasad, a full stack developer from Odisha, India. 2+ years of shipping products in the MERN stack and Next.js. I am a fast learner and I like to build things. On weekends I either code or drive 80 km out with friends for dinner. I also read classics, I own 25 plus but have only finished 3 or 4 so far.

Daily driver stack

TypeScript everywhere. Next.js App Router on the front, Express behind a serverless adapter, Firestore for the datastore. Tailwind for styling, shadcn/ui for primitives.

Opinions I will die on

  • Interfaces beat classes for domain models. Classes only where behavior lives.
  • Every optional field is a design decision, not a shortcut.
  • If your DAO layer is not a straight line file, your data model needs work.
  • Tailwind and a well curated design system beat CSS in JS 9 times out of 10.
